Cristiano Ronaldo to miss Ballon d’Or ceremony

Ballon d’Or 2016 ceremony: Ronaldo wins the prestigious award amid the festivity

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be able to attend the Ballon d’Or ceremony on Monday, 12th December.

The ceremony will be held in Paris, in which the Real Madrid star will be named the Ballon d’Or winner.

It is no secret that the Portuguese will be the winner of this prestigious award after the news was leaked last week.

This will be Ronaldo’s 4th career Ballon d’Or, just one less than Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

According to the Mirror, Ronaldo will not attend the ceremony in Paris as he and his Real Madrid teammates prepare for the Club World Cup in Japan.

Ronaldo and co. will stay at Hotel Yokahama Royal Park once they arrive at around 8.30pm UK time, while Real’s star man is expected to have produced a pre-recorded video message for the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris.
